The Sands Motel has been nestled in the picturesque Guadalupe River Valley of the Texas Hill Country for nearly 50 years. We are a small, family owned and operated motor lodge, located on the west side of Kerrville away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. On the banks near the headwaters of the Guadalupe River you will find that the Sands Motel is framed in a quiet and relaxing park-like setting complete with outdoor grills and picnic tables placed under cool shade trees.
Within an easy drive of the Motel, you can reach many of the area's attractions such as historic buildings, museums, antique shops, art galleries and State Parks. Additionally at various times throughout the year, Kerrville serves as host to many festivals, fairs and shows. On a regular basis, you can watch one of the many professional productions put on by our internationally recognized local theater. If athletics are more to your liking, visit one of our area golf courses, tennis courts or the River where you can try your hand at catching one of our elusive Guadalupe Bass. Bring your favorite, most comfortable bicycle, motorcycle or car and tour the hundreds of miles of roads that wind through our scenic hills and spectacular valleys. Hunting, fishing, horseback riding, watching birds and exotic African animals are all just a small part of the Sands Motel and Texas Hill Country Experience.

Later, you can refresh yourself with a dip in our outdoor pool or a visit to the nearby Family Sports Center. A wide variety of great restaurants are conveniently located close to the Motel. End your day by spending some time at the picnic table located under our "Singing Oak Tree". Feel your tensions and worries evaporate while you watch the River lazily drift past. Our rooms are modestly priced, starting at $45/night. We offer both smoking and non-smoking rooms. For the comfort of our future guests, we do NOT allow pets. All but one of our rooms are located on the ground floor with parking available directly in front of each room. For those requesting a longer, more leisurely stay, inquire about our Kitchenettes which are rented for a minimum of four days. 

For your convenience we furnish free color cable TV and direct dial telephones with free local calling. Refrigerators are available in every room to store your favorite refreshments. Provided in the Office every morning, complementary continental breakfast will start your day on the right foot.
