Riverside Nature Center
(RNC) is located in the heart of Kerrville on the Guadalupe
River at the junction of Town Creek. This
former small farm has been transformed into an urban wildlife and native plant
sanctuary. It features a unique
arboretum with over 140 species of trees as well as cacti, glorious wildflowers,
shrubs, native grasses, birds, insects and other animals. Meandering
walking trails lead you through the Nature Center and down to the banks of the
beautiful Guadalupe River.

"Promise"
created and donated by sculptor Dean Mitchell
Riverside Nature Center is also home to a wonderful Visitor's Center which houses classrooms, educational displays, meeting space and a gift shop.
Visit us often! Watch the progress of the wildflowers . . . see the dance of butterflies . . . hear the songs of birds . . . find "evidence" of wildlife . . . and more.
