Task # 13 - Outlook Express - Downloading Stationery From the Internet.
Your objective is to locate a stationery file on the Internet and download it to Microsoft stationery folder.


1. Most of the stationery files on the Internet are in zip (compressed) extension. You need to be sure that you have an unzip program. You can dowload “Winzip” from the internet: http://www,winzip.com

2. Using the Search Function in Microsoft Internet Explorer, find websites
by typing in “Outlook Express Stationery”. Be sure an include the
quotation marks.

find links to Outllook Express Stationery pages:

These internet websites usually give you instruction how to download their stationery.

4. The usual place to download an Internet file to your computer is to:
C:/My Download Files (Look in " Explorer” and find your “My Download Files.”)

5. If you have installed “Winzip” on your computer, the downloaded
unzip file icon will turn to the icon used by Winzip.

6. In “My Download Files” find the zipped files that you have downloaded and hgihlight the file that you want to use.
7. Click on the zipped file and the following "Winzipped" window will appear.
8. Click on "Use Evaluation Version" and again a new window will appear:
9. Highlight the two files that appear in the Winzip window:
11. With the mouse cursor drag and drop the two highlighted files in the Winzip window showing on the Desktop into the Stationery folder.
10. Have showing on the Desktop the two files needed to be copied into the "Stationery" folder in Windows XP:  right click on Start and then left click on "Expore";  in Explore find "Program Files" and in Program Files find the "Common Files" folder.  After clicking on Common Files, find the folder "Microsoft Shared" and open the folder, "Stationery"..
12. Referring back to Task # 12, go to Outlook Express Inbox window, go to "Select Stationery" window and highlight your stationary that you have just installed and then click Ok.
13, The stationery will appear as background in a "New Message" window.
14. Now you can type your message and send your E-mail.
