Task # 7 - Outlook Express: Saving Your Received E-mail
Your objective is to save a received e-mail message from friend or family.
Ex:ample:
1. Click on “File” in the Menu Bar then in the dropdown menu click on “Save As.”
2. A “Save Message As” Window will appear on the desktop, the “Save in”
Window will show “My Documents.”
3. You can save the E-mail File there or choose another folder or on a
“floppy disk” or "USB flash jump drive."
4. You must give the file (type) a name, then click “Save
5. Another way to save is to save only the message in the e-mail.
6. Highlight the message as show below:
7. Right button click with cursor arrow on the highlighted message and click on “Save” in the dropdrop menu.
8. Or click on “Edit” in the Menu Bar and then in the menu click on “Copy”
in the dropdown menu. The “Copy” will not be available unless the message is highlighted.
9. Then you must bring to desktop a word process window: either “Notepad,” “Wordpad,” “Microsoft Word,” or “Microsoft Works.”
10. In the body of the word proccess blank page, you must now “paste.”
11. Click on “Edit” in the Menu Bar and then click on “Paste” in the dropdown menu. Or: Click with mouse right button on blank area and then click on “Paste.” in the dropdown menu.
12. To finalize the save, click on File in the Menu Bar and then on
“Save As” in the dropdown menu. Save In “My Documents.” Give the file a name before clicking “Save.”
